AUTOMATED SHIPLOCK
Large rivers serve two significant purposes. First, they are vital energy sources for the countries they flow through, thanks to the hydroelectric power plants constructed on them. Secondly, these rivers are crucial transportation routes for goods and passengers. To harness the energy potential of the rivers while maintaining their role as transportation corridors, ship-locks were developed.
Ship locks must ensure fast and reliable passage of ships in both directions. We have complete control over the ship-lock technology. Our fully automatic ship locks found their place on the major European rivers such as the Danube and the Volga.
A ship lock controls the water level in a chamber, allowing vessels to pass from one side of the lock to another. We have an in-depth understanding of every aspect of the automation process involved in ship locks, including:
- Mechanical components of the lock, such as hydraulic blocks, cylinders, and gates
- Electrical components of the lock, such as sensors and actuators
- Control systems required to manage the operation of the lock
- Safety and regulatory requirements are necessary for these types of systems.
- Centralized System - We integrate each sub-system of the ship lock into a central control system: maintenance cranes, HVAC, fire-protection systems, pumping stations, traffic light systems, water level measurement systems, lubrication systems, vessel detection systems, etc.
- Automatic Gate Bevelling – We use real data (cylinder position or/and inclination) to develop the best algorithm for gate beveling
- Safety – We develop intrinsically safe systems up to the SIL3 category
- Advanced Traffic Control – Safe crossing of the ship is the top priority. With our traffic control systems, we allow captains to navigate through the ship lock
- Availability – We develop mobile applications for quick data visualization and on-site control
- Lubrication systems – We provide local and central control for the lubrication system of the service mitre gate
- Measurement of Water Level –We provide real-time precise measurement data on water levels
